Physiotherapy
As a primary care giver, a physiotherapist can assess, diagnose and treat your injury through a combination of methods that may include: manual "hands-on" therapy; manipulation; acupuncture or dry needling; modalities such as ultrasound, heat or ice, elector-stimulation or compression; and exercise prescription. Education plays an important role in physiotherapy. Whether you are a recreational or elite athlete, our team will develop individualized programming to help you safely and successfully achieve your performance goals.
*** Students accessing care through the USSU Student Care Network, please call to book your appointment.

Athlete Wellness, Support and Outreach
Athlete Wellness is providing support and consultation to athletes in a variety of ways, from support and resourcing to consolation. The goal in providing support for student-athletes is to participate in a collaborative approach ensuring they are connected to the right resources at the right time. This includes rapid assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination and follow up. Athlete Wellness is flexible, meaning we can prioritize student-athletes in crisis for same day service and support and also be mobile on and off campus.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manual manipulation of soft tissue and joints of the body to alleviate pain, muscle tension, spasm or trigger points while also aiming to improve mobility and promote relaxation. Massage also has a positive effect on the body’s natural healing processes and compliments physiotherapy and injury rehabilitation.
Massage therapy can be used to treat both acute and chronic conditions. Registered massage therapists can work with a variety of patient populations for treatment and prevention of dysfunction, injury, pain and physical disorders. Massage therapy can be beneficial to a wide variety of conditions and is a great addition to your everyday healthcare.
